I am assuming you are the same alwrmcusn from the Venture boards I visit, if so, you are another convert from Yamaha Royal Star Ventures to Goldwings.
Alfred glad to see you on the board.
You are going to love the Goldwing.

B.L., Welcome to the forum. I'm a pretty new member, but a "lifer" rider. Lot of information here and several good 'ole boys.

Enjoy the ride!

Yep, I'm that guy! Traded my '09 RSV Hannigan for the GL1800 Motor Trike. Miss the Venture seat but getting used to the GW. Had to add heel/toe shift with floor boards and highway pegs. The GW foot position is extremely limiting! But it is even smoother riding, much quieter....I can actually hear the sound system. Looking forward to some longer distance rides come spring/summer 2017.

I hear you on the Venture seat thing, I also added heal toe shifter and floor boards to my 2013 as one of the first mods I did. It has a lot of advantages over the Venture, especially the handling of the two wheel versions. There are more than a couple of us here from Venturerider and Delphi forums, you should recognize their names when they pop up.
Let us know if you make to Florida.

First, thank you for your service.

Second, welcome to the board from Texas.

Third, lots of good info on this board, but put your wallet in the safe because you'll start spending money after reading what folks are doing to their GL1800's.

Have a wonderful day.
