New F6B Owner in Central Texas

I joined this board 6 years ago, mainly to warn others of the shoddy treatment I received from Kendon, on a very faulty single I had purchased from them. The prologue to that story is that they finally agreed to replace the trailer, and when they got it back to their shop, they agreed it was faulty, but that they could not determine exactly what caused the shake. I learned this after contacting them about a faulty tire that had caused my trailer wiring to be ground off. The end result of that mishap was that they gave me a new set of wiring, comped me for a new tire, and told me they were no longer putting bias ply tires on their trailers; radials only.

Anyway..., I'm back, having purchased a new 2016 Deluxe last Saturday, after a nationwide search for a great deal. I bought it up in Waco, and couldn't be happier. I've always had my eye on the F6B, after sitting on a 2013 in the Honda tent at the MotoGP here in Austin. I didn't buy one until now because I told myself I didn't need two motorcycles. That may still be true, but the heck with it, no one is getting any younger! The new one, and my '07 FJR:

Beautiful, beautiful bike.
I should have held out for White.
Got Red a whole lot cheaper, but wow... White.
Beautiful.

Welcome, if that doesn't look like a "trooper" bike, nothing does. People will be pulling to the shoulders when you come up behind them. Sounds like fun!

jmdaniel, congrats on your new F6B. Did you buy it at Bargers Allsports in Waco? The black/white two-tone is stunning.

I did. My approach to cars and bikes is that, when buying new, they are a commodity, so price is the key factor. I sent out a lot of requests to dealers that had either a white 2016 or a blue 2015, (Deluxes), and sifted the results. As I expected, the Austin area dealers were out of their minds, and it came down to this bike in Waco, or a blue one in Illinois. As good of a deal as the 2015 was, it wasn't enough of a discount, after shipping, to stop me from taking the short ride up I-35 and swinging a leg over this one.

Riding it home that day, waiting for a train to pass in Moody, TX.

LOL. I'm very familiar with the Moody RR crossing in the pic.

Taking Spring Valley Rd from Waco to Moody is a more enjoyable ride than heading down I35, that's for sure. I've done it a hundred times. BTW I bought my 2009 Goldwing from Chad at Bargers Allsports. Enjoyed doing business with him.
