New Wing owner checking in.

Hello all,
My name is Dave. I have been riding 45 years and during that time I have owned dozens of bikes. I started on dirt imports, then went to street, spent 30 years riding Harleys and I just now purchased my first Goldwing after riding my buddies 2010 GL1800. My last touring bike was an 04 Ultra that I unloaded with almost 200k on it. On December 28th I was at the dealer getting my V-Strom inspected. They rolled my wing past me as I was waiting. It was still dripping from the wash after uncrating and assembly. I looked up, said stop, I want that, I love the color, how much do the paperwork. I got the deer in the headlight look from the sale guy. Now I own it. I hope to learn a lot here. I love this bike, so far it has lived up to its reputation as the king of touring bikes. I hope it treats me as good as I'm told it will.

Welcome from sunny Florida! You made the right choice, the Wing made riding enjoyable for me again. I really like the Silver/Black two tone color and the black powder coated wheels and highway pegs, nice choice!

Welcome to a whole different world of riding. Please, please, please, report back with your opinion of the wing after your first big trip as it compared to your years on HD's. I expect that you'll find similarities as well as differences. Just remember that they achieve the same goal with completely different ideologies. You ARE going to love this bike.

Very nice Dave and welcome to the Asylum.
That black and silver combo sure looks good, real good.
These Wings do have quirky things but are wonderful bikes.
