Look at the Bridgestone Drive Guard. I like mine better than my old yoko.

I ran the Potenza 960 pole run flat as my first Darkside tire! Sometimes it had an unexpected squirrely feel for the first 3,000 miles so I don't intend to run it again! I got about 16,000 miles out of it!

I'm running the Yokohama runflat. My first car tire so nothing I can say for comparison. I do like it. It rides beautifully smooth and quiet. I will likely buy another. I'm not a performance oriented rider. No peg scraping. After a few thousand miles you forget all about and just ride as usual. Both my wife and I like the runflat security. She has also has noticed its smoother and quieter. I'm not buying no more rear motorcycle tires.

On my second Yokohama run flat - so far have about 17K miles on it with about 5-7K estimated left... Very happy with the Yoko, run it at 24 PSI... Better ride, better handling and better in the rain... The estimated 22K miles I will obtain is good for me as I also run a Tow-Pac trike kit most of the time and that is very hard on tire mileage... Handling is just as good on two wheels as it is on 3 (4)... Also run a BT-45 up front for double dark. Have 20K+ miles on that one with an estimated 5-7K left...

The Yoko does tend to track road seams and tar snakes but that is a small price to pay for the other performance increases...

I've only run two car tires, and just by luck these are the two. There is nothing to compare in my opinion, the Yokohama is much better in every way on a GL1800.
