Riding Jacket

I have been thinking of a riding jacket that will have the inner liner that can come off for the summer. Warmer for winter riding in Florida, but yet cooler in the summer/spring months.

I don't want to mortgage the bike to buy one, but do want comfort and adaptability.

So, what brands should I be looking at? What brands are you guys wearing?

I wear an Olympia Airglide 5 and am quite happy with it. Three layers - outer Cordura shell with mesh and armour, inner rain liner, inner-inner quilted liner for warmth. The rain liner can fit either inside or on top of the outer shell, so you don't have to have it in all the time. On a hot day the mesh lets in enough air to remain comfortable. This is my second Olympia jacket. The first one had a zipper issue at 5 years old and I just decided to replace it instead of fixing the zipper. For what it's worth, the zippers on the new jacket look to be higher quality than the old one.

I just got a Motocentric Squadron jacket from motorcycle super store for $59. It's in their clearance stock. It is well built with waterproof liner, mesh with 1000 denier in right areas. Very well built for the money. I live in Florida and plan to use it in summer and winter. Good deal with free shipping

Mike I've got a hi viz jacket that you can try on for size and what have you. If you like it, how's $25.00 sound?

Wow, that sounds like a great deal Mike. We shall now call Mayor Hal "Generous Hal." Anyway, I checked out that Motocentrics jacket from Motorcycle Super Store. I figured how can I go wrong for $59 bucks so I ordered the Hi-Vis, supposed to be here Wednesday.

Your right Tom. For $59. how could you go wrong. The only thing I don't like about them is that there is too much black and not enough Hi Viz in my personal opinion. Other than that...good deal!
