Being new to the area, I was checking out the venders and was surprised more bike manufactures
haven't got tents representing their products.
Looks like a good place to party, eat. drink, and check out the lady's .

For all coming to the event from the east coast by way of SR-44, I just read the following:

Massive brush fire has forced state troopers to close a section of State Road 44 near DeLand.

The road is closed in both directions from Prevatt Avenue to State Road 415 (East side of Deland) because of low visibility. Troopers are expected to reopen the road when conditions improve.

The fire started burning Thursday afternoon in a wooded area off S.R. 44 between DeLand and New Smyrna Beach and quickly spread to at least 250 acres, according to the Florida Forest Service.

This is in addition to the one that has been happening closer to the Lake County border on SR-44.

It looks like all the area business are getting into the pay to park mode. Cars were $10, Bikes $5 and if far out, $4.

Was free up to a couple of years ago. O-well, everyone makes a buck now.

Typical bikefest. Rode over with Red Ron. Gals, food, T-shirts, leather for sale. Trikes are banned from riding main street due to the width and parking of 2 wheelers. A road or 2 had RV's for sale. A lot of toy haulers and a few 5th wheels. Event appeared smaller in size this year.

Wayne and his wife JoAnn from Sierra Electronics took care of me by supplying me with a headset base plate for my helmet. They are at Gator Harley dealer for the weekend.
Whisper Jet likes this.
