In Need of GOOD BBQ

Any ideas for a GOOD ride Saturday to eat some BBQ or any out of the way restaurant.

Time to hit a few places before the heat arrives....

Captains BBQ N Oceanshore Blvd. The Hammock. (N Palm Coast) probably to far for you central fla folks. Also Bryans BBQ on Springgarden in DeLand. Phyllis and I have been fighting the flu for over a week now and hopefully can get out this weekend 🤧

Sorry to hear about the flu. Glad you are over the hump and on the mends. I have been pretty lucky. With all the people I come in contact with, and the amount of hand shaking I do in a week, I have always kept healthy.

Bryan's is GOOD....

Dang Jamie.... U and Phyllis get well soon. This is a BAD time of the year to be under-the-weather.

Yes it is. Met up with the gang a month or so ago there. Great service and I truly enjoyed the food.

Brian's BBQ in DeLand has always been great and very good to us. Their St Louis style ribs are my favorite. I am bogged down with honey doos or would have gladly gone with you Mike.

Guess I needed to look in my back yard.

I forgot abut a hole in the wall place on SR-44 in Leesburg called Sully's. 5-6 min away, right next to Mid Florida Lakes Mobile Home Park. Place is about the size of a shoe box, but good. Been awhile since I have been there. It is NOT an RTE place, but good never the less..

Glad you found yourself some BBQ Mike. Hope it was worth the long ride. lol...

Almost talked myself out of riding yesterday. There was almost a 10% chance of rain. Temps to be in the upper 80's. I was afraid my old candy a$$ would melt. Think I even saw a cloud in the sky.

My stomach won the battle. Rode almost 250 miles for chow. I'm still full of fried chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, pork chops, sweet potatoes, cheesy potatoes, gravy, fresh rolls, cornbread, peach dumplings, strawberry shortcake, banana pudding, and of course plenty of whipped cream. Just to balance it out, because of my diet, I had some cold slaw, potato salad, and some lettuce. I almost went back for seconds! Bill & Sharon joined me. We've been riding together for almost 35 years. They enjoyed the meal also.

It's my understanding the buffet went out of business as soon as we left!
