Honda no Show

Went to the Washington DC Progressive Motorcycle Show http://www.motorcycleshows.com/ yesterday hoping to get a look at Hondas new line up for 2017 and Honda was a no show. They were there in 2015. Guess there not reaching out to the public this year.

I have seen many manufacturers dropping out over the last 5 years or so at Chicago.
It has turned into a jewelry, accessories, gadget show now days.
I used to love seeing Moto Guzzi's new line ups, but they quit going.
Then Yamaha and Honda would only have a few bikes.
I won't waste my money going anymore.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Actually Moto Guzzi was there, first time I took the time to look at them.

Dang now I may have to find out if they will be in Chicago.
If they are I will have to retract my previous comment about not going.
Interesting.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully if I get to go to Minneapolis show next month they will be there, but yes it not uncommon that some manufacturers don't show up, exactly why I sure don't know.

Seems to be a trend. Fewer mfgs showing up at major rallies (Sturgis) as well.

I just looked up Chicago vendors.
Honda is not going to be there nor is Moto Guzzi.
My wife just gave me a direct order that we are going.
She wants to see the Can Am Spyders. Uh Oh1

Cam Am display was quite impressive, all Spyder Models and even their Trailer. My wife and I sat on one, not bad. Just not my thing right now.

Not mine either Dan.
I will say that if this would get my wife to ride with me more often then I would not hesitate.
Fact is...it won't.

Doug , I think that Can Am is in your future. I've ridden a trike several times and to me they handle terribly in the corners. You trike riders I'm not cutting down your ride. I think they are beautiful machines but I ride hard in the corners and trikes aren't too good at that. Now , Doug that Can Am will flat get it in the twisties. I ran one down on old 61 hwy two years ago. He was trying to shake me. I was on my M109R at the time. Guy pulled over and we talked. Then we swapped rides for about ten miles. I was impressed with the Spyder. You sit high , that's the only drawback. Im sure you get used to it.
