Need another option. Mine has a little over 280,000 miles with no ADG failures YET. I emphasized the yet because I think I hear it knocking after a cold start. I will probably have a repair in the future. Since this is a very expensive repair on a high-mileage bike I guess I'll just ride it until it won't go anymore. I seem to remember a few posts about these things rattling for a long time. We'll see.

I ride too fast, too far, and too often to ride anything but a Goldwing rolling on a car tire pulling a Tailwind trailer because friends don't let friends vote Democrat.

Not mine yet, but my brothers went, taking out gears in the transmission when it did. He DID miss a shift, red lining the engine to cause it, his is an '03.

There are also reports where the rider had no clue about the loss of dampening until it started full tilt when coming to a stop sign or such.

Are the vast majority of these early year bikes? I was of the understanding that Honda addressed this issue in 2006. Would that be correct?
