How old were you?

How old were you when you first started riding 2 wheeled motor driven rides. I realised Ive been riding 2 wheels for over 50 years.started out building mini bikes at about 8 years old. Once even made a twist throttle out of one of those 3 speed gear shift handle bar shifters.envy of the neighborhood. Ive had Hondas,Yamaha's,bultacos, royal Enfield, triumphs(first and only brand new bike I ever bought). I went thru the chopper phase, the dirt bike phase, the cruiser phase, the touring phase, which I'm still in.I was told for years and years I'd grow out of this obsession. Well, that never happened. I still love riding,be it just small local loops around here,or cross country rides. I've taken 4 cross country rides of 3 months,15 k miles on choppers and tourers.and am now ready for another one. I do believe this two wheel love affair is in my dna,and I'm peter pan.

Started at 10. Dad bought me a Honda 50 Mini Trail. Graduated to a 70 at age 12 and then 175 Kawasaki at age 15. The Kaw was the worst bike I've ever owned. Man I had a lot of problems with that thing. Blew it up twice. First motor I ever rebuilt. Just Honda's and Suzuki's after that. Been riding 48 years. Lots of Quads in there also. Just sold my M109R. Lots of Mods on that one. Most brutally powerful bike I've ever owned. Current rides are 2013 F6B and 2016 Pioneer 1000.

1971, 14 years old.
This is a photo of the Honda SL70 in 2009 when I sold it (stupid move).
It still looked new after all those years. Still had everything original ... even the tires!
