As far as reverse, I never had one and have never missed it.
Planning where to park is the key.
I can tell you what bothers all the V-Twin owners I know about Gold Wing owners.
NOTHING
The V-Twin owner's I know could care less about a Gold Wing.

Have a great ride Rail.
We are having thunderstorms and flash flood warnings today.
No riding for me today.

I never knew reverse was available for some Harley Davidsons until I read it on this forum a couple weeks ago, so last week I ran into a Harley rider riding a Triglide and asked him about reverse, yes he said his Triglide was equipped with reverse and it works off the starter very similar to the way Honda reverse works, I asked him to demonstrate it but for some unknown reason he didn't want to do that.

It's pretty rare that I use reverse but it sure is nice to have when needed.

My guess is that those of us with GW that tow a trailer or have a trike probably use reverse a lot more than two wheelers that don't tow. Riding a GW trike I use reverse often. I had to have our reverse repaired last year and while it was expensive I'm glad to have it working properly.

I find the H-D crowd gets a lot more mad at me when I cruise up on my Goldwing and all the tatted up biker babes come over to check me out. Happens all the time. It's a curse. Somehow, I manage. Reverse is too slow to get out of that when it goes sideways, so I keep the nose pointed where I can just throttle up. Gimme three steps.....

This is my signature block. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My signature block is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life....

I haven't used reverse yet on the Wing, but see where it could come in handy down the road. I've had all kinds of bikes including HD touring models. The bike that could have really used reverse was the Yamaha Royal Star Venture, I nicknamed it "The Beast". That is the only bike I couldn't backup over the uphill lip into my garage.

Those HD guys get to hating on me with the quickness!
