Number 1 thing

What's the number 1 thing that really annoys v-twin riders about goldwing riders? That little reverse button. It just drives them nuts.

O yea! 4 sure
last season I went camping with a buddy of mine.. He on Harley, me on wing "both" pulling trailers... we were parked facing downward(s) with trailer(s) hitched to bikes..........Well when it came time to leave camp after loading up our trailers, I just hit the reverse button and backed out of parking spot (he freaked!) He couldn't push his bike out w/ trailer hitched to it.. I had to get off my bike and helped him push back his bike out ... If he was alone he's still Be there..
Another good "plug" for Honda!
After a good laugh, and a few of those (friendly) Honda/Harley jokes, back "n" forth off we went
but I had the last laugh, and had a smile on my face the whole trip home..

EXCELLENT TOPIC to keep Harleys the #1 topic in a GW forum !!

I've never used mine and have never understood why anyone especially with a trailer parks pointing downhill.

I don't think that them knowing a Gold Wing has a reverse means anything to them.
As far as reverse, I never had one and have never missed it.
Planning where to park is the key.
I can tell you what bothers all the V-Twin owners I know about Gold Wing owners.
NOTHING
The V-Twin owner's I know could care less about a Gold Wing.

Doug

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Other bikes are what they are. Numerous non-Wing riders of big, heavy bikes I have talked to wished they had a reverse. IMO, reverse is a great selling point and it would be a very usable feature for any big bike. By the way, I'm not ashamed to use reverse and knowing it is available allows me to park in places that riders of other bikes would never consider.

It is a GL Forum. We don't expect much opposition. Its not like we are on a HD forum talking about it. Wish I had it in my B. Would be useful sometimes.

I will most likely not get the pleasure of closing this one . As I am heading out on KLR with my day off and 50 degree weather on this fine first day at of spring . Besides I gotta let the other mods use their skills also
See Wi for pix later on this evening . No wing will be featured in these pix , sorry . But should be some wonderful spring scenery . Brown , dead , and sloppy Wi riding . But there will be food involved at some point . No reverse on KLR ...just clutch , first gear foot and just the right amount in of throttle . I see lots use the reverse and that's cool , because I do think most big bike riders enjoy that option . As I did woth my 1500 back when , now I forget it's even there .
Carry on I got miles to spin on and daylight is burning .
