Modular Helmet - which model/brand do you use?

I recently posted a poll on helmet use. The modular helmets had the most votes with full face and 3/4 being together being about equal when you added them together. I guess modular helmets are popular because they give you a combo of both types. I'm going to go with a modular helmet and would now like to know what brand/model to you wear and any feedback about the fit (size), comfort, air flow, noise, chin latch mechanism etc. I know Shoei helmets in general are popular but their modular is over $500 and I want to stay under $300.

Up until recently, my modular helmet of choice was a Shoei Neotech. I tried a Schuberth C3 modular and it just wasn't right for me. I most recently purchased a Schuberth C3Pro because of the redesigned shell and fit. The C3Pro is quieter than the C3 and the Shoei in my opinion.

I really like my Nolan N104. Details on my website, under "Gear" and "Helmet."

I really like me HJC. Second one I've had. Got it on Amazon for around $170. (Usually go for around $200) Sena speakers work perfectly in it. Lots of ventilation. Drop down visor controls on top of helmet, so doesn't interfere with Sena. Much quieter than my 3/4 Shoei. Wore the last one I had on 4 trips from Florida to North Carolina and Tennessee. Great helmet.

I've had a Shoei Neotech for the past 2 seasons and feel it's worth every penny.

I'm currently wearing a Shoei Neotech and I gotta say it's not worth the price. If I were buying another helmet I would go back to a HJC.

We use the Gmax54 from competition accessories. Fit well and not heavy. Second time getting them.

When you have one, ride it. If you have one and don't ride it, whats the point.

If you're that concerned about price and protection, you would do well to consider a full face helmet or search for some used, closeout, NOS ugly color deals. Modular helmets are inherently expensive. One you can get new for under $300 is going to have made some quality compromises somewhere. The latch mechanism, hinges, seal, weight, noise, quality of the face shield, etc. Somewhere you might be happier with a light, quiet full face that fits you and can be had at a relatively more reasonable price.

Don't get me wrong, I love the flip up, but a cheap flip up would nag at me.
