Steel showing through the tread, worn to the point that it was slipping out on a hard turn, my recommendation to him. Felt bad. He was ok with it, but said never again. Just thought I'd share.

I've also got a Avon Cobra with 9,000 miles that looks about the same, took it off last fall and won't be putting it back on, I never noticed any issues until after the tire was removed, other than that I really liked the tire.

Bad reviews on Avons tires . Google it.( Avon tire failure) Many blow outs caused by stuff you are showing, delamination. I wouldn't buy them.
