If there is a farm & ranch store nearby, they usually carry non-detergent oil.

If you have a Northern Tool (use to be Northern Hydralucs) store around they sell compressor oil. Also any auto paint supply store that also sells air compressors will have it. I also have seen it in Home Depot in the Air compressor area.

John is right, but make sure they know you are buying oil for a SHOP AIR COMPRESSOR, not a CAR AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR!

I have purchased it from my local Napa store, but as mentioned a Farm Supply store may carry it.

Try a *real* auto parts store, such as a NAPA...

And to think, all this time that I've been RIDING my Goldwing... I could have been "respecting" it instead.

I run mobil 1 in mine. The compressors last forever with it. My BIL is a car painter and he tipped me off to that.
