The dealers are very aware that there are literally thousands of older GL1800's still out here and the more miles they rack up the greater the probability that the alternators will start wearing out. So raising the prices means they'll be soon making lots of extra money for alternator repairs. Guess you could consider that my conspiracy theory.
Yea, except I don't think you can blame the dealers, since Honda Corporate sets the MSRP on it's parts.
