I am going to use a pair of these gloves next oil change.

Disclaimer: Just because I am going do this does not mean you should.
Safety should always be the first concern.
You could possibly get burned.

I thought about these gloves as I was using them to take a pork butt out of the smoker.
They grip well, are liquid resistant and handle heat very well.
If they can keep me from getting burned by a hot piece of meat fresh out of a smoker, they should be able to handle an oil filter/drain plug with no problems.
Hot oil drains faster and better from my experience.
