I had not previously responded but I have this on my schedule. If all the stars align for me I will be there late Friday night. I am reserving 2 campsites again over at Magnolia Ridge park by your house. They only allow 2 tents per site. So far it will be me, Steve and Roxie and Terry Hurth. I have not heard a confirmation from Cody and Joan McGahan yet. So there is a possibility that we will have room for one more tent. I will let you know.
Looking forward to this again!

This is about 60 people if I counted correctly, and we're still almost 6 weeks out. There are many more familiar faces that have not responded but we all know will be here. This is shaping up to be the biggest turnout yet. I am hoping for good weather.

Keith, you and Marvin are the featured chefs on Friday night, and I know you will again work your magic. I am concerned about Marvin though. He is presently snow skiing for his first time, and I'm wondering if he can cook while hobbling around with his leg in a cast.

There are several people who have PM'd me about bringing door prizes, and I of course will be supplying some too.

I have a few details I need to work on. More info later.

This is shaping up GREAT!!

Glen
Unfortunately Old Fred had to cancel out on me. I still plan to be there solo. If everything goes right, I should be there Friday early afternoon.

This post is now edited to provide the correct number for the Best Western. My fat fingers get in the way sometimes! Thanks Jeff!

I was late in contacting motels for group rates. I finally realized that some are already making reservations so I just now went to the Holiday Inn Express and the Best Western in Jasper and got group rates for April 28 and 29.

The Holiday Inn Express will honor a .group rate at $99.95 plus tax, instead of their normal rate of $129.95. Their address is 501 West Gibson in Jasper. The telephone number is 409-384-8400.

The Best Western is offering $75.99 plus tax for any size room. Their address is 205 West Gibson in Jasper. The telephone number is 409-384-7767.

Ask for the Glockjock RTE.

Both motels told me that you will have to make reservations by telephone to get discounts. If you register on-line you will not get discounts. If you have already reserved on-line, cancel the reservation and then call to make a new reservation.

Marvin, first of all congratulations on making it back from skiing. First ski trip and no broken legs! You are Marvelous Marvin.

You and Keith are the culinary stars and more and more people are coming for the Friday night feast and festivities. Looking at the list above with about 60 names, most of whom have been here before, I would say that probably at least half of them, maybe two thirds, will be here Friday night. Also, with this many people so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see 80 to 90 people here for the event.

Let's ask people to help out here and tell us if they'll be here Friday night so you and Keith can plan the cook. By the way, as you know I have three grills at your disposal. I have the pellet cooker, a gas grill, and a 22" Weber charcoal grill. Tell me what else you need from me (foil, plates, condiments, etc.) for Friday night.

I'll start it off. My wife and I plan to be here Friday night.

Glen
