How do I open the saddlebags>

I just bought a 2008 gold wing and got it home and can't figure out how to open the bags. I don't see a latch. Should it open with the push button control, the trunks does.
Thanks

under the trunk there are three handles, one for each compartment. push the unlock first. if you don't open one of them in 30 seconds it relocks

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the quick response. I feel stupid now but the owners manual was in the side bag so I couldn't read up on it to find out how it works. ha. thanks.

Sounds like Catch 22! Can't open the saddlebag to get to the owners manual to learn how to open the saddlebag.

congratulations

Congratulations on that new bike! You might want to consider a service manual; there's lots more to know and good times to be had taking care of your own bike.

Do not feel bad. The same thing happened to me when I brought my 09 home.

You have to watch out when using the remote to open the trunk that you don't activate the remote start at the same time.

I having figured out how to put the thing in remote start yet. Seems I just hit the unlock a few times and the trunk opens. Seems the dealer used the remote to open the side luggage also? Is that possible? Or just the trunk works remotely?

No he was great, it was my scatter brain that's the problem. I remember him showing it to me but I was overwhelmed on info overload.
