Fusion Led lights

Hi guys I have an 08 GL1800 I'm the second owner the bike came with the Fusion Led system. Has anyone figured out the fix for the lights coming on intermitinly. Also the remote disconnects (pairing) from the CPU... I've checked the CPU wires, housing for loose wires. I tried a cushion under CPU, I separated the remote from the motorcycle. Changed the battery on remote. Other than the replacement for $100 I was wondering if any of the great minds here have figured a fix? Is there a way to eliminate the CPU? For example can I select a color by powering a selected group of wires and working it manually?

I'm no help to you on this. I don't know what fusion LED's are. Do they change colors within the same diode? If so, you won't be able to just power them directly, eliminating the control unit. Someone knows about these here. I hope they come along soon and have some real advice.

Thanks Gblinded yes they change colors respond to music all kind of fun stuff... lol all I want it to do is to come on when I ask it to and the color I select... not to much to ask for. As to same diode I have no idea lol 😂 thanks anyways I'm sure someone will come up with solution... 👍🏻

Really depends on the type of LED stips being used. Tried to look online as to what was being used. Must be RGB leds (red/blue/green) leds (individual LED or Strip LED). In that case you would need the controller to easily get the color you are wanting. Were you provided instructions with the system and each LED would be the same color..if not they do have a facebook page with some info .

To go a step further, there are RGB LEDs with an intergrated driver that requires a processor to send a hexidecimal code to the individual LED to do a color (Each pixel of the three primary color can achieve 256 brightness display, completed 16,777,216 color full color)
display. In this case each LED could be a different color and intensity.

But from what I had read, the Fusion LED is only about 21 colors that can be obtained.

Good luck!

Ok jury is in I can hard wire to obtain a limited combination of colors. Which voids the light life time warranty or $99.99 for new controller... anyways I now have options... thanks to those that replied...
