Lower Tree Visual Inspection

Someone once posted a pic of the 01-10 lower tree and the 12-up lower tree side by side and showed with circles and arrows the differences. Anyone recall how to visually tell the difference between a 01-10 lower tree and the 12-up lower tree.

Newer triple tree

I'm beginning a similar upgrade to my '03' and have acquired '15' parts that I hope will stiffen up the suspension. I've also got a '15' rear shock/spring assembly to complete the job. Instead of the Race Tech route you took I'm putting in the Progressive monotubes. Here's a picture of the '15' tree. Zoom in on the image and you should be able to see the 'extra' ribs.

Last summer I went the route of getting rid of the OEM trees and added the Traxxion top and bottom clamps. There is literally no comparison. The Traxxion are just about double the thickness of even the '15 tree. IMO it was well worth the extra $499 to go the Traxxion route.
