best way to clean bugs off the windshield and bike

I have heard several times and read at times that you can use a mix of hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol and water to remove bugs and dirt from the windshield and bike. It is supposed to litteraly desolve the bugs making it very easy to clean the surface. Has anyone heard of this or tried a mix of this solution. If so is there a recipe or formula for mixing and making the solution? I am using what I think is the best windshield cleaner that I can buy but I understand that this solution does a better job.

If it aint broke, fix it until it is!

I use a 50/50 mix of peroxide and water. Peroxide is already watered down to 2% so the mixture is 1% peroxide. Put it in a pump spray bottle and lightly spray it on the bugs on the shield. They will turn white and bubble up, then wipe with a soft cloth or micro cloth. Just did my windshield a few minutes ago to get the lovebugs off that splattered during our lunch run today. I've been using this for over a year now and have had no problem with damage to the shield or paint.

So you only use Peroxide and water. No alcohol?

Never seen any reason to put alcohol in it, the peroxide works on the bugs biological make up, just like on a cut on you or me.

I found, quite by accident, that Meguires quick detail spray has excellent bug/fly removing qualities, a squirt of that and a micro fibre cloth and I have yet to be beaten by a baked on fly....

Bugs on the windshield are Badges of Honor.
I remove mine with bug and tar remover when I have so many the front forks start bottoming out.
But this peroxide stuff sounds better for the plastic.
after you clean it , Wax it, it will be easier to clean later.
Plus the water runs off better in the rain. If you ride in the rain
