on your return trip, Highway 2 across Washington is very scenic.
You can then pick up I-90 at Spokane, and follow the interstate to Sturgis.

We took 2 across on our way home a couple of years ago, it was quite enlightening
Some areas were as desolate as what you see going to Alaska, with all the beauty as well.
Other areas looked like a scene out of a Louis L'Amour novel.

Sounds like a great trip! keep us posted and put up some pix

Go to your insurance agent and tell them you are going to Canada and need a "Canadian Insurance Card." They will know what you are talking about. Should not be a charge for this but it is a must have.

If you do the icefields parkway between Banff and Jasper, head east from Jasper and take the highway to Grande Cache enrout to Grande Prairie. Good road, very scenic. I live in Edmonton and spend a lot of time in and near the Rockies. You have the biking adventure of a lifetime ahead of you.
