I had to make an extra stop this past weekend in Heavener, Oklahoma on my way back to Texas from riding the Ozarks. I nice young man driving a black and white SUV with lights on top wanted my autograph. They must think I'm famous, seems they're always asking for my autograph.

No mention of how much they are going to charge you for your most recent autograph? Let's hear what an autograph in Heavener, OK costs now-a-days.

I can see where I work in this photo. We're not making clouds right now. Gotta fuel it up again.

I got off with only a warning ticket for doing 51 in a 45 so I can't help you with that.

Push Mountain

We did Push Mountain yesterday, and got a nice surprise. Running north from Highway 14, when you drop off the mountain you will find NEW pavement for the next 5 miles!!

And man was it nice!!

Highway 16 and highway 74

Today when running west on Highway 16 from the junction of 21 at Fallsville, they were laying new pavement. Looked to be close to 7 miles of nice fresh pavement. It stops at the county line. The flagman said they hoped to finish it today.

And highway 74 west from Kingston has some nice new pavement. The new stuff starts at the junction of highwy 23 and runs about three quarters of the way to Kingston.

Southern Section of Highway 123

We ran the entire length today from the Junction of Highway 64 to Pelsor(Sand Gap).

The section from the one lane bridge north to highway 7 is a lot better. Most of the gravel has been worn/washed off the road.

But it would still be wise to use caution. The things we noticed.

First, there are still significant amounts of gravel on the white line. I would recommend not getting within at least a foot of that line.

Second, there is still a lot of fine dust on the road. Not near as bad as it was previously, but Donnie backed off a considerable distance because he could feel himself being hit as it was coming off my rear tire.

We ran the road at about 50 mph and really wouldn't want to do it any faster at this time.

Worth a trip over there to experience the new pavement. Thanks for the updates.
