This year Spring is early. Storms (like yesterday/over night) can be wild. That's the biggest risk in weather. Otherwise, now until whenever is a good time to go. Another storm is forecasted for Sunday/Monday. The storms a short, but deadly if you're not prepared.
I was just in the Hill Country last weekend (went to Salt Lick BBQ through Boerne and the rest of the back roads). Didn't see any bluebonnets, but the weather was great!! A little cool in the morning, but warmed up nicely and stayed dry. Lots of people out on bikes too. Went through Wimberley (packed) and down River Road. Now is the best time to ride if it's dry.
We were there Wednesday and Thursday last week also. No bluebonnet yet and the dogwoods aren't blooming yet. Anytime in the next week or two they should all start. It's great riding country!
