Hope you speak or know some Tagalog.

Been 40 years since the PI for me. Fond memories!! Walking over S _ _ _ River on the bridge was a trip.

I know a few words. Wife would love it if i could speak 1000 times more but oldtimers memory is kicking in and can't retain much.

Wore my Jeepney shirt to Moonshine a few weeks ago and a guy saw it and commented he had been there in the service i believe around '86. Air Force electronics of aircraft or was it the Navy aircraft. Memory again.

We walked halfway across the San Juanico Bridge by Tacloban back in 2009. Longest bridge there.

We had 79F yesterday and now it is in the 30's and light snow that went away.

We made it. We both feel like crap. Planes suck. 3hr boat ride was rough seas and we feel like we are moving yet and queazy stomach. Looks like chance of rain for the whole time we are here in Ormoc City. She wants to go to Bohol and take that stupid boat there. That would be 3hrs back to Cebu and than probably another 3hrs to Bohol.. no thanks. Not worth it to me to be sick the whole time.

No bike rentals supposedly. Might have a chance to buy a bike that her bother knows that needs money. Will have to wait and see.

Raining again now. Around 76F now and high of 80F. Highs mostly 80-84F for couple of weeks. Hotter over Christmas 3yrs ago and 96F. Cloud cover and rain are really keeping the temps down.

Not very good weather for riding. I never expected it to be chance of rain for weeks. I hope they are wrong.

Wow! sun just came out brightly and not sure how long it will last. Probably just heat up enough to make it rain more. lol

home away from home

I like Tanduay rum better but one beer might go down. Jet lag and sinus problems are doing better. Almost feel like a human again and doing something.

74F for the low and rainy. Should have brought my rainsuit. lol
This small city of Ormoc has grown a lot in the last 3yrs and really grown since 2009. I don't like it near as well anymore. Way too much traffic now.

We are staying at her sister's house which is out of the city. It got damaged from the typhoon back in 2013 and not fixed yet. It is a nice house for us to stay in and really appreciate her letting us stay here. My wife paid for a couple of room a/c and hot water heater so i don't have to take a cold shower. Spoiled American.

I should have taken some pic's of the traffic yesterday.

If it's still the same San Miguel that I remember drinking Lots of in the mid-sixties, No Thanks. That stuff was the best laxative that a guy could drink, but it sure didn't stop me from drinking it.
