I won't be anywhere near Tennessee, but have been planning to be somewhere between Oregon and Nebraska and then make a final decision based on weather forecasts. However, I was looking at an Oregon State Park camping site (http://oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=v.page&id=60
) and saw this:
"Transportation officials predict unprecedented traffic and crowds the weekend of the eclipse. Traffic may be at a standstill on all major highways and freeways the morning of Aug. 21. It may be impossible to drive into the path of totality that morning."
May need to re-think my plan, or make sure I'm truly out in the boonies where I reckon there won't be as many people as crazy as me.
Looks interesting the extent to which the Oregon folks are going to make campsites available in the path of totality.
