8-9 April 2017 North Central Ark - w pics

First GREAT weekend of the year. Sunny, temps in the upper 70's - blah blah blah.

We headed south to check out some of our favorite roads in "The Natural State" .

Stayed at the Days Inn in Harrison and made day trips out.

Here are a few pics.
.
.
.
Here we are at the bridge over the Big Piney Creek on highway 123 just south of Sand Gap (Pelsor). That little store was closed. Maybe it just doesn't open until Memorial day. I don't know.

This is a little gravel road off of Highway 374, just south of Jasper

Then (of course) one must take the Arkansas Highway 123 to Mt. Judea and run it all the way to Clarksville.

Of course - there's a lot more, but the details would bore you to death.
It was a great weekend. No crazy wildlife, no crazy car drivers.

Town traffic was spectacular. EVERYONE was out. We were happy to be out on the obscure 2-lane roads.

I was on 7 on the 9th. May have seen you. We saw several wings. I was on a red Goldwing and the wife was on her 750 Aero. White helmets.

There were a bunch of Wings out riding. We saw one Wing leading a group of five Harley touring bikes.

If it was me riding with five Harley touring bikes. Then in front would be the best place to ride!

I saw you. I remember that. It seemed most appropriate. Me and the wife got behind two Harley's leaving Oark. My wife could have easily outrun both of them on her 750. They were scared of those hairpins on 103 down to Clarksville.
