This is the reason I'm asking because I didn't see anything on a airbag model being offered by Honda.

Although it is just a common sense type of rumor that might very well be true, we can't really garner any more information out of it. If the recall is the reason, the resulting questions would be: 1. Is it because of a lack of faith in new airbags, or 2. Would production of airbags for a motorcycle put too much of a strain on availability due to fulfilling current demand plus the production of replacements to fulfill the recall? I think #2 is the most likely reason. The Wing's airbag would undoubtedly be considered the lowest priority by producers.

It could also have nothing to do with the recall, and may have been dropped due to low demand.

My dealer stated several months ago that Honda had told them that airbag models would not be available in 2017.

#3 Buyers are not paying the asking price for a deluxe model Goldwing that basic looks and design is 15 yrs. old,
especially with possibly dangerous air bags installed.

Wake up Honda, buyers are wising up to your game while your producing a outdated bike
with prices increasing faster then my typing............
