It's been rumored I use the sunglasses after the sun has set. Keeps a person "cool" on hot nights

I don't understand the need for articles such as these. Don't look like an amateur? While all of the items listed can be issues, I am too busy enjoying my world to worry about what others are doing wrong.

Hobbies are full of self appointed experts. Who expect everyone else to follow along. It doesn't take exceptional skill or knowledge to participate.

When I smoked, I had no problem on the bike. Yes, once in a while an ash got in my eye. It's not the emergency the "meat gazer" author makes it out to be.

Riding in shorts, you bet, as long as you don't forget your flip-flops. Riding in shorts with shoes or boots is tacky and not cool at all. Don't forget your tank top and baseball cap (they make real good helmets).

'cool' wears out fast over the long road.

Lest you use your bike for bar-hopping, its best to leave 'cool' at home: cool pipes, cool attire, cool farkles...

on the road, its pragmatism that counts.

You 'll never find an Iron-butter interested in something that looks cool.

Just a thought....The author describes short sleeve shirts as just "excess optimism" but short pants as "stupidity". I don't understand how short pants is more serious than short pants. In a bike wreck are we somehow able to keep our arms off the pavement but not a wreck as the human body tumbles head over heels down the road? Or is it just that short sleeve shirts are safer than short pants because more people do it and it is more accepted? Also I saw no mention of riding without a helmet. Is that ok? I wonder who would be more stupid: Me if i ride in shorts and a helmet or my friend who rides in long pants but no helmet?

May Jesus Christ bless us all.
