Thumbs down Bad start on the season

Been cold and rainy up here in Michigan not much for temps over 62 degrees and its late in the afternoon before it gets there. Most of the morning and early afternoon is struggling up thru the 40's and into the 50's. Still waiting patiently for the nice 70's and 80's. Just a really bad start for the season and this last winter was weird also and not a run of the mill winter season. Strange days have found us!

I rode in the rain yesterday for awhile.
It was 66* and a 30 mph wind.
My Dunlop E4s handled perfect!
I was glad when the sun came out later in the day.

Takes me days on days to clean the bike up after getting caught in the rain. Dirt seems to get into ever nook and cranny and is just a pain in the a** to get it back to how I like it. I am definitely a fair weather rider and don't care for a weather event that I don't like. The older I get the more temperature I want before getting in the saddle. A good day in the mid 70's is a plus for a really nice ride.

Any day here, where I am, is cold/wet/windy when I'm off work, and, like today, I'm working and the weather is 'rideable'. Then we have family in the hospital, so we prioritize. but soon...soon, it'll be..."get your motor runnin'...head out on the highway...lookin' for adventure...and what ever comes our way..." (Born to be wild/Steppenwolf).

Yup, the weather has been rainy, windy, and cool, up in the Wi and Mi states. Today was windy and in the 50's, but Bighutch rode over, and we got him switched to the Darkside, then went for a couple hundred miles. Can't wait for better weather.

Must really suck to live where the weather dictates what you do?
Here in Northern Australia its sunny all year and even when its raining 30 inches in a day yah can still get out and play
But when it gets hot? say over 40 Celsius, say over a 100/110 Fahrenheit yah do have to manage your days around Frozen Cokes

Well i started out with nothing and I still got a whole lot left

I actually like riding in the rain, cause the next day I get to wash the bike, and then I usually pull out the can of wax, and do over the entire bike with a nice coat of wax, with music playing in my head set, that's how I get to relax...O' can't forget about that can(s) of beer on the sidelines..
Bikes all clean and shiny, and I continue with my smile mile after mile....
