After my heating system went out recently on my 2006... and after running the heating-system troubleshooting checklist outlined here
... I've determined that I have a bad "Front Thermistor 1" in my Ultimate King seat, causing my entire heating system to fail. I further troubleshot by placing my seat on my buddies 2013, and it caused the same issue... and I plugged his seat into my bike... and all heated systems on mine ran fine.
I'm now going to contact Ultimate Seats on Monday to see if they will service it. I'm hoping so. It was manufactured in 2011, so it's well out of warranty.
So... I'm wondering if any of you guys have dealt with Ultimate to get your seat serviced and if so... what your experience was like?
I love the seat... but I'm wondering about how much this is going to cost me. I'm assuming at a minimum $60-$80 for shipping each way, in addition to any service & repair fees that Ultimate may have.
Anyway... just thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone has had a similar issue, or dealt with Ultimate for service issues, and what your experience was.
