Went for a little ride therapy yesterday. Slightly over 300 miles...Goodyear, Superior, Winkleman, Globe, Roosevelt and return. Temperature ranged between 90 - 103 degrees. First delay caused by SUV roll over on 87 South...45 minutes for air ambulance and evacuation. Second delay a 9 car rear end accident on the 202 West bound around 32nd Street. Third delay caused by a 3 car rear ender on the 10. Moral of the therapy is realizing how difficult it is to be distracted on two wheels. Fairly sure that all three accidents were the result of distracted driving...certainly the rear enders...just speculation but as a CDL holder you would be amazed at what we see people doing behind the wheel...on second thought maybe you wouldn't. Be safe out there.
That is my biggest fear of summertime riding in AZ, getting stuck at an accident scene with no outlet. Like I-17 north of the valley. And no shade. Brutal.
Yep, love riding during the week whenever I can. Truth be told love riding everyday...LOL! Riding is always therapeutic for me, focus my mind on what's going on and blocks all the non-sense for awhile anyways.
I have a choice of 4 Casinos within a 50 mi. radius so the competition is fierce and another Casino is planned about 30 mi. from my house. All the Indian tribes (lots) in this area have really jumped on the bandwagon to build a Casino.
