Someone on here i thought did video on cutting one down need jig saw and tape to protect windshield while cutting... File or sand edge when done.good luck .
I taped it up and cut it with an angle grinder with a fine blade fitted. It sort of melted its way through, I finished it off with a sander. Then hand held sandpaper on a block. If you took the shield off just about anybody who is competent with power tools could get it done for you. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone in Phoenix who can get the job done.
Yes, you can do it! As said, use tape, I use painters tape as it is easy to remove after your finished. Also, put tape on BOTH sides of the screen, and make sure you put enough tape on the screen to cover the width of the jig saw, you don't want the jug saw guide (belly) scratching the screen. Use a very fine tooth blade.
