Steve aka M61A1MECH is from that area and is well versed on the coolest routes, roads and should present to you some options where you can't go wrong. Have fun in Daytona.
Hey you can get in touch with CANADIAN Jack , he is also from Arden and lives in Daytona! He will be in Tampa visiting his family but he will be back after Xmas!
Just pm him on this site but let him know on this board that he has a pm! Gil
In Florida, one of my favorite rides is near there. From Daytona, head N on A1A, past Ormond Beach towards Flagler Beach. South of Flagler Beach starts a 15-20 mile stretch where from A1A you'll be looking directly down onto the beach and over the Atlantic ocean. Continue N on A1A past Flagler Beach. Once your view starts getting blocked by houses, turn around and head back.
On the way back, watch for High Bridge Rd (Highbridge Park). Turn west and follow High Bridge Rd to Walter Boardman Rd (WBR). At WBR turn left, and left again onto Old Dixie Hwy. Follow that road back into Ormond Beach and find your way back to Daytona from there.
For lunch, there's a great restaurant right on the beach in downtown Flagler Beach. It's the one at the pier. I've never ate there but many like their food. Without lunch, allow at least 3 hours.

Just a quick note here regarding the "great" restaurant at the pier. I think you're talking about the "Funky Pelican." I have been there a few times, and IMO it is just average. There are much better places around that area; check out Trip Advisor or Yelp for details.
I also have several area rides mapped out from when I was running a STAR chapter in Daytona, be happy to send those to you in PDF format if you like, just PM me with an email and I will reply with maps and directions.
Hey there from Ocala, FL. I know it seems a long way away from where you are but there are numerous RTE's through out our areas. Once here, keep an eye on the Florida board numerous times of the day as an impromptu ride can pop up at any time! Hope to run into another fellow Canuck.
As you have already been told, if you want to ride and see a lot and eat a lot. ..hook up with Canadian Jack!>
Merry Christmas! Hal
Also look for Backlash. He has been known to make some mid week RTE's and is also in the Daytona area. If he shows up on a non Goldwing, don't shun him. He is still A.O.K. for a Floridian. :wink2:
We are planning on attending and Following Canadian Jack. Thank you
