Hi, I thought you might like to see a UK/European GL1800airbag so here are a few pics of mine.
I took delivery of it almost 3 weeks ago and have been working on it in my garage.
The 2012 Wing has only recently been made available in the Uk so there aren't many around at the moment.

In the UK the standard airbag model costs £24,000 = $36,480 US dollars.
It comes with a 2 year Honda warranty which includes roadside assistance and it has a toolkit in the left saddlebag :)
It has the 6 speaker surround sound audio system as the US spec bike but it has also got RDS (Radio Data System) too - this keeps you tuned in to whatever station you've chosen and it displays the staion name on the bike dash screen.
What it doesnt have is - CB controls, no rear running lights at all on the trunk (only the centre one at the rear lower works)

This one is almost ready for the road - I'm just waiting for a CB unit from BikeMP3 to be delivered here in the UK.

Ian, did you install the volt (?battery meter) and gear indicator UNDER the speaker screen?
Yes, I mounted the voltmeter under the lefthand speaker grill and the Gear Indicator under the right side grill.

Remember to install a connector (I used the Hitachi type) so that the dash trim can be easily removed when servicing work is being done.
Cheers,
Ian.

Beautiful bike, but did it come with a right hand drive?
Hi Don, of course it is :) it wouldnt be British otherwise :) we are all a bit quirky over here :)
I think it was the Napoleonic conquest of Europe that made the change to the right side to show his dominance of the region - he didnt conquer England so we remained on the left side so that we could use our swords and weapons in our free right hand when in battle (or something like that).

Dont worry, if you ever bring your left hand drive bike over to the UK it'll work just fine :)
And if you ever need any tips on where to visit or which are the good riding roads you can always ask me and I'll do my best to help out.

Cheers,
Ian.

Very pretty bike. The mods and improvements you've done are impressive. If nothing else, for me it shows how much value you put on the Wing and how willing you are to spend money and hours to make it the bike that you want. I think over here in the US we forget how costly things are elsewhere with VAT's and imports fees, road taxes etc. Kinda humbling for me if you don't mind me saying so.

Love your country. London was the common meeting place for business back when I traveled overseas for work in the 1980's. People were friendly and helpful and I tried to get out and see as much as I could on lay days. Fondest memories of seeing Sir Francis Chichester's "Gypsy Moth IV" at Greenwich on a cold February day.
Thanks for sharing your new Wing with the great pics and ride safe, Ian.
