Recommend shop to do Warranty work in SF Bay Area (CA)

I know there are other shops in the SF Bay Area that folks recommend, but not all of them are licensed(?) to do warranty work. My preference is to have my work done at Wing Nut (Fairfield), but Don cannot do warranty work.

The two closest Honda shops are Berkeley and Fremont. Obviously, mechanics may come and go, but has anyone had their bike serviced at either location or any other in the Bay Area?

At this time, I am looking to have the handle bar control switches and the main radio/cb/etc. panel replaced.

These guys make most of their revenue on service. Small shop. Have not used them but have friends in
Mountain View that have had no problems.

I was actually nosing around in that shop a few weeks ago and they didn't seem particularly strong on Wings. In that area, only Hollister Honda impressed me with their knowledge of - and interest in - GoldWings.

I can confirm what bigwing says. The Wing is not their bread and butter for the shop or floor but often that can be a good thing when there is only one in the shop she might get that little bit of extra attention as opposed to just another Wing on lift #12.

Like I said second hand on my end. But I have a buddie and his wife that use them regular for routine service and have had no problems with their work on a Wing and a Shadow. My buddy is not a shop guy at all, not even an oil change but he has had no issues with their work.

Secondhand recommendation withdrawn see my post bellow

SF Bay Area Shops

I have had good luck using Berkeley Honda on Gilman. Carl is the service manager and is an up right guy. Have had both my bikes (2004 GW & 2007 VStar 1300) and have been more than satisfied with their work and service.

Not service related but...I withdraw my secondhand recommendation for the Motor Cafe on the peninsula that I linked too above. Just had a phone call with my friends down in Mountain View. They stopped by Friday late and saw a trade in on a Shadow sitting on the floor that the wife though looked worthy of a test ride.

Anyway, too late for a spin so they scheduled a lunch time Monday (today) ride with the caveat if you sell her over the weekend give us a call. They had plans over the weekend.

They did sell it over the weekend but no call and not even a real apology about an hour ago when my friends showed up for the test ride. Seems the attitude was take a look at this one over here…anyway BS. Not cool.

Please note almost never will I slam a vendor or dealer but this was a very callous deal toward regular customers and the attitude just was poor to say the least, zero courtesy. If you need names PM me and I will give you my number and the details.

Could indeed be just a bad sales person/apple but BS nonetheless and left a very sour taste in my friends mouth.

I have plans to spend a lot more time down that way than I have in the past this winter and if I sniff out any Wing shops that are off the grid non powersports mega houses and are with the Honda warrantee stamp I will post it up.
