I am curious as to what do you think is the best way to sell a used Goldwing, Seems to me that this forum is a good way if you are willing to wholesale your MC... Price sells anything
I will agree that some of the best deals I have seen are on this forum.

I offered my for sale here at a pretty good discount price hoping to sell it quickly. Then I went to craigslist and I don't think I'm selling a vehicle on there again--lots of contacts and almost all trying to rip me off. Then I put it on cycletrader for more than I did here and it sold within a week. Cycletrader for me from here on out.

I agree with this. I used the 2 week free add on cycletrader and sold my 13 FJR for the asking price 3 weeks ago.

I have had success with Craigslist. I have sold a Valkyrie, a Ninja 1000, and a Concours 14 in the last year using Craigslist. I sold each bike in about one week. I got a fair price for each bike. You have to be willing to set the price at a reasonable level, not a sentimental value.

I had great success with craigslist. A few years back I used to get all kinds of garbage when I listed an item pon there but the last couple of years I have used it with no unwanted e-mails.
Also the free 2 weeks on cycletrader is a great way to go also.

Craigslist works for me but I'd do Cycle Trader if I wanted to move it a bit faster.

I agree this site might not be the best. It doesn't hurt to list here but most people looking for a Wing aren't already on this forum so your potential customers are limited to people who already have one looking for an upgrade or for a friend. Add to the fact that some ridiculously good deals have appeared on here and it's very likely you won't get top dollar on this site unless someone just happens to like your bike and is willing to pay what you think is fair.

I've personally had good luck with Craigslist and sold at least a half dozen bikes that way over the years. I usually list for about 15-20% more than my bottom dollar and see where it goes. I just sold my 05 BMW F650GS today for $4125. I listed it for $4500 so I got a reasonable amount for it in relation to my ask and a bit more than I actually expected.

One note....I don't publish an e-mail on craigslist and in the contact section, I put: "see ad text"

In the ad text I'll ask people to call or text and then list my cell phone number in a cryptic way using words, letters and other characters. This makes it very hard for the scammers to pick up the numbers and auto dial / text / e-mail you with their stupid scams but it's still easy enough for a human that is interested to translate and make the call.

I listed it on Monday. The guy came and looked last night and he came back with the cash tonight so I'm pretty happy with it. They don't all go that fast, but I've had good luck overall getting stuff sold on Craigslist.

I just purchased after looking for months. My main searches were on CycleTrader (1st), Ebay (2nd), this forum (3rd).
Here in Utah we have a local new station that put together a classifieds, KSL.com/classifieds. I have had great luck with it but I avoid Craigslist like the plague.
