Is there a previous link to tips on the install for the electric option
or anyone out there have any pointers to help with the included instructions.
Thanks for any and all info,
TV
I have been thinking about trying one out for quite awhile now but man that electric option is ridiculous. Are they saying an additional $575 for the electric part or does that include the windshield and other stuff? I think the electric option would be great but get real, almost $850 in a windshield is a little crazy to me.
I had an issue one day in a heavy rainstorm where the windshield would go up by itself. It stopped after is dried out.
I later ended up wrapping the electrical parts under the fairing pocket with plastic and have not had a problem since.
Tom at Winbender said I was the only one he had ever heard of that had this problem.
My electric was not as expensive when I bought it.I'm not sure I would pay the current price.
The electric option is worth every penny considering what it takes to manufacture the parts and how hard some of the shelved items are to get. The early versions could explode cable sheaths
but Tom has revised the rails with rollers to stop that problem. Really slick!!!
The only thing that will really help with the installation more than what the instructions say, is to remove those stupid vent tubes over the radiators. You'll have a lot more room for the parts. Don't forget to plug the ducts int he cowling.
