I find it nice to put a wallpaper on the computer that is from some trip I took, although sometimes I use something from "somebody else's trip". This one here is from a fall tour - a short stop for lunch at a campground now empty of campers. This wing is getting older, and higher mileage. Yet I still love travelling around on it.
What wallpaper do you have as your desktop background?
Yup, that's the one Paul. The only one I like better is the one PingJockey took at 6am one sun-shininy day. (I copied and saved it somewhere) thecruiser
Here's my computer wallpaper. Taken taken this Summer from Tunnel Rd in the hills above White Salmon WA looking West down the Columbia River. Right place at the right time.

Aaaa, I see that, Don. My mistake.I have CRS, doncha know. I thought I remembered Paul saying that Larry took that pic.
One of my favorite places in Colorado,... and I've never even been there.

And P.J. has taken some awesome shots, just not that one!
When you get out here again, you really should take that roundabout on the west side of Aspen. After you've ridden IP of course.
Maroon creek road will take you up to the bells in about 13 miles or so and Castle Creek road (the next exit in the roundyrounder) takes you into one of the most beautiful box canyons around and up to the old ghost town of Ashcroft.
Summer time they make you park and bus you in to the bells due to limited parking unless you have a handicap placard or such. Even if you have to ride the bus the views are very well worth the trip. Be sure to hike back around the lake a ways to get your moneys worth because a camera just cannot capture the beauty like being there.
Both roads are one way in, one way out. Coming back out you can shift into neutral and coast the whole way back!
Sooooo many things to see and do here in this beautiful state!
