Amazon has 6 NKG plugs for $13 for my wing.
Iridiums cost way more, Are they worth getting?

The 6 plugs that Amazon shows for $12.87 are incorrectly pictured as iridium plugs. Look closely at another Amazon ad and enlarge the picture and you will see what I mean.

6 PCS *NEW* --- NGK #2756 V-Power Resistor Type Spark Plugs -- BKR6E-11

I replaced the V-Power plugs in my 2007 Wing at 57,000 miles only because I felt that I should. After pulling them, they looked so clean that I considered putting them back in. But, I went ahead and installed the new V-Power BKR6E-11 ones.

Iridium plugs are GREAT. I recently changed the Iridiums in our 2009 Honda Pilot SUV at 132,000 miles even though we were still getting the new car gas mileage.

I only let them go that long because we got 120,000 miles out of PLATINUM plugs in our Cadillac SLS Northstar engine before it started missing and misfiring.

I say they are worth the extra cost, not that they cost all that much more really, if you shop around.
They keep their gap, and give a hotter spark. You might not feel a difference in performance, but chance are ,you'll never have to replace them.
My 2 cents worth.

Iridium and Platinum plugs are all about longevity. They are pretty much a requirement for car OEMs today because 100,000 mile maintenance intervals have become standard.

Standard plugs will hold their gap for their usable life just as well as more expensive plugs. That life is just shorter.

A stock engine running standard plugs is already running at peak combustion efficiency. The hotter spark exhibited by plugs that use exotic metals does not give the engine anything it needs, so there will be no performance advantage.

If I had a bottomless wallet, or had an engine that was a pain to change plugs, yeah, I would buy Iridiums. They are better plugs. But in our case, they offer very little value for the money.

Agreed !! I have witnessed dyno testing with platinum plugs verses standard plugs and seen twice no difference in performance . It's truly about longevity . I like changing plugs to look for issues inside my stuff . But on each their own.

To me no ... some have problems with the iridium. Since I tour the continent, for me I need a Wing that can do reliable long distance travel, and for that I have to use parts I trust. Unfortunately for that type of reliability, my parts have to come from Honda.

Honda does not use iridium in their 6th gen either.
