Default Rhino Liner or Line-X - looking for pros/cons on both

I'm trying to choose between either Rhino Liner or Line-X for lining the bottom of my ground effects on my new Trike.
Looking for pros/cons on both to assist in making up my mind.
    So far I have found
    • The Rhino costs less but it 'grainy look' is larger then the Line-X
The Line-X tends to get slick in the rain, but this makes no difference to me since it's going on the road side of the ground effects, not where my feet go.
Both Rhino Liner and Line-X can be color matched to the color of my ground effects.

Any and all suggestions are welcome

I don't think it would make much difference where you are using it.
I prefer Rhino in pickup bed as it is not as hard on my old knees.
The real difference I think is in the installers. Some do it right and some do not.
I have seen the color and it all seemed to fade or change color after awhile. My choice was black.
    Hope this helped

Hey Dreamer -- yep that helped (especially the thing about the color fading).
I have read that both products have had some problems with 'peeling' and bubbling. But as you said, some installers do it right, while others...
I think it's also important that I make sure where the liner is going to go is absolutely clean to make sure the installer doesn't miss anything should he/she choose to 'cut corners'.
I still have a little over a week until I get my Trike back (dying with anticipation over here!), so I still have some time to research some more.
But again, any and all help is welcome

Friend of mine sprayed my GMC with Rhino soon after I bought it. It started fading at some point and he said bring it by and he had some special cleaner to put on it to bring back the color. Never did go back. Mine was a pewter color and now is kind-of grey but fine with me.Held up great for 5 years.

Line-x on a 2002 siverado when bought new....no problems and it sees very heavy use hauling horses and gear. When I get a new truck (maybe 2009) it will have line-x.

I guess I'll have to chime in since I had my Trike ground effects done...I used Line-X Xtra...it is the bed liner with an added painted Kevlar coating on top and can be color matched...as many know I have been on an extended ride since end of May and have ridden over 10,000 miles...I will tell you...IMHO there is no better product than Line-X Xtra...I am also planning to do the front of my rear fenders when I get back to Virginia...best of luck in your decision...the Pro...Kevlar...

    BlkPirate's looks perfect.

Be sure and get either color matched, or clear.

Now THAT might be the solution to the colors fading.
    THANKS!

I'm glad you "chimed in". I remember how good it looked on the BlkPirate. In fact it was your's and Beasties Trikes that made up my mind as far as the question "should I or shouldn't I have it done"
I will certainly check out the Xtra and the Kevlar!!

Now that Black Pirate aka Ol' (fully) Retired Guy has all the time to do what he wants to his ride we all must pay attention for ideas that he uses. Other than the amount of $$$$$ he'll spend I know I can glean a few great ideas outta him. Luckily for me it's only a 4 hour ride up there to see plus buy all the grandkids some WhiteHouse apple juice........

I have had both in several pickups. The Rhino has more rubber in the coating. Which means it will be more sticky, hard to slide items around. You can press it in a little with your finger nail, but I have yet to tear one of them.
Line-X has a more hard plastic type spray. Items slide on it quite easy.
Here is a tip for you. When you decide which type to get. Ask them to spray below the back side of the bed. Below where the bottom of the tailgate is. This will keep your truck from rusting down there and it effects nothing. You can not see it unless the tail gate is open and you look below the bottom of the gate. They have never charged me a penny for that little extra bit of spray.

    Hey BlueWing - thanks!!!
Keep in mind though there won't be a "Tail Gate" this is for my TRIKE's ground effects

Blondie, since this is for your trike I would get the Line-X spray. It is a hard plastic type spray and there is less chance of any tar type of road crap either sticking to it or impregnating into it. Plus, any cleanup will be a little easier then the more rubber Rhino coating.
