Default New seat pad at Costco

    Ladies and Gents,
Just picked this thing up at Costco today. It's almost identical to the one sold at Walmart only some different technology. It's got some "cooling gel" so the "boys" don't over heat. Well, that remains to be seen (or felt). I just got it so, the test is on the way. It was about $15.00 so, I figured I couldn't go wrong. It's a tad thicker than the W/M one so, I'm anxious to check it out. I only use the W/M one when I've ridden for quite a while and the seat's getting like a brick wall.

If this has been brought up before, sorry, I didn't see it. If not, take a look, see what you think. Take care and ride safe out there.

    Smile cushion

I better run right down there, seems Costco's stuff gets rotated alot so you seldom see the same stuff...or maybe that's just me...

    Default costco #

Can you list the costco item number please? I just looked at costco.com for seat cushion, that item doesn't show so it might be a local store only item, but can do a stock check with a costco item number.

While I don't have the receipt just now, this is what's on the side of the box:
    ITEM # 501080

    Hope this helps some.

I tried a Costco pad similar to that awhile back and found it to be not as comfortable as the WM pad. It was to thick and didn't cover the whole seat.

If it's a gel pad or gel insert, then it's nothing like the Walmart Relaxation Pad, despite you thinking it has a similar outward appearance.
    Just saying.

i bought this pad about 1 year ago at costco. It looks great. It sat me way to high. I am 6'2" and thought I needed to duck to go under an overpass. I am already a "wide load" and didn't need the height. After 1 ride, i picked it up by the handle and the pad wadded up in the bottom of the outer fabric case. There is NO Zipper to open and straighten it out. Had the seam ripped open and a zipper put in. Rode with it a couple of more times and the "cooling gel insert" was not comfortable at all. I even rotated it with the walmart cushion on rides to see feel the difference. It just didn't work for me.

    Well Gents,
I'll give it a try tomorrow. Like stated, I only use the W/M pad when I've been on the bike for a long time so, to me, if I put this on after a long days ride, I'm sure it would be an improvement for the rest of the day. But, I'll try it tomorrow and see what I think. I appreciate your extra comments on previous ownership of them. Thanks

Opinions of others are always welcomed.

I was thinking of buying one... but I'll wait 'til a few more 'positive' opinions surface. If they do.
