2012 GL1800 MO. Riders Meet and Greet

We were at the moonshine lunch run last year also. Great time, if you have never gone you need to go

i plan on going again this year.

I have never been to the Moonshine Lunch Run,if it works out this year the wife and I are interested in attending MLR

Ok, this is the absolute wrong thread to ask this, but I'm doing it, anyway. I'm seeing some rumblings about an event in Rogers, AR in April. I Googled it, but found very little information.

Can someone enlighten me as to what it's about? I feel dumb asking, but I'll never know if I don't ask.

P.S. Any rides today or tomorrow in Central MO?

It's a gathering of gl riders, go on rides , eat and have a good time. I went a few years back and
enjoyed it. The riding in that area is awesome. Met a lot of nice people

OK, thanks. I wasn't sure if it was a generic "gather and ride," or if it was something like a fundraiser or a veterans thing or something like that. Just curious.

As I said, I can't find much of anything on the net about it. Probably just not looking in the right places.

Good morning Craig,

Someone brought the idea of the middle of the state for a RTE(ride to eat) to give us MO. GL1800riders a chance to get together for lunch and a chance to meet other riders.

I checked out google maps because I have never actually been to Ha Ha Tonka State Park,which from the map appears to be just 4.8 miles from Camdenton,MO.,so if we choose Ha Ha Tonka we will probably be eating in Camdenton? I have ridden through Camdenton many times on the way to Bennett Spring State Park where I trout fish quite a bit,I have never actually eaten in Camdenton? One board member(da_bull) suggested CJ's a cafe in Camdenton,MO.

I checked out the GL1800 calendar in April the Tennessee Lunch Run is on the 21st which I hope to make this year,I didn't see the Rogers gathering listed?? Since we don't know the Rogers date??? How about Saturday May 12th?? for a RTE (ride to eat) we could meet at Ha Ha Tonka State Park before lunch then ride over to CJs Cafe around say 12:00-12:30 noon for lunch??

Now if we turned this into a weekend event camping or hotel gathering???
I would highly suggest Bennett Spring State Park with excellent campsites and cabins,shelters with grills,private rest rooms all over the park with hot and cold running water,good places to eat in and around the park,and the trout hatchery along with the Park General Store.

This has been discussed so I thought I would post a thread to see if there's actually any interests in a luncheon meet and greet this year in Missouri?

I have seen some response and interests in a MO. meet and greet,some have responded with meeting in the center of the state which appears to be Ha Ha Tonka which is located near Camdenton,MO. near Lake of The Ozarks.

This location in not etched in stone but a preliminary location,I would really like to hear from all interested in meeting for a luncheon if this spot is desirable or if you have another suggestion?
I was going to post a poll on which month,not sure how to do a poll? lol
Please post your ideas of where to meet and which month everyone that is interested in a lunch gathering

So I thought I would check back and see if anything had been ironed out for a date yet. Looks like things are still up in the air as far as that goes.
I have made my reservations for Rodgers today. Will be there Thursday thru Sunday. April 12 to 15. If you have not been to this event, I recommend it
highly. The Hotel is great and they treat us nice.
I would like to attend a MO meet and great also.

Howdy Kevin. We have reservations in Rogers for 11 April to the 18th. Taking the camper and staying at the Hide A Way campground at Beaver Lake..If your greet and eat is some other weekend we would like to attend also.

Now back to the Missouri greet and eat if anyone is still interested in meeting for lunch on April 28th 2012 to kick a few tires and talk motorcycles,we will meet at Ha Ha Tonka and eat in Camdenton,MO. at CJs Cafe which is about 5 miles from HaHa Tonka State Park.If we still have any interest in a Missouri eat and greet for April 28th I will go a head and post in the rides and event section here.

The April work schedule came out today, and I nailed it. I was given the night of the 27th. That means I'll be getting home at about 6:30 the morning of the 28th. Soooo, I'll have to operate on just a few hours of sleep that morning, depending on when things begin.

If anyone is planning on riding from up here down to the lake together, I'd be up for that, also....again, depending on times.

I just doubled checked with Ha Ha Tonka state park,the main parking lots are paved and the main roads in the park are also paved..I have never been to Ha Ha Tonka State Park so I just wanted to double check on the roads and parking situation.

So any and all interested in meeting for some chatting and socializing before riding to CJs cafe for lunch located in Camdenton,MO. 5 miles from Ha Ha Tonka state park.
All are Welcome 2 wheels,3 wheels,and 4 wheels,as well as All brands from A to Z are Welcome.

I was thinking any where from 9:30am-12:30pm meeting at the the main entrance parking which from their web sites interactive map it appears to be paved parking,restrooms,and some type of interpretive panel shelter? sounds good for rainy weather just in case

Only 14 miles from my house, and I can say (with a feverent "heck yeah"), they have GREAT food. If you leave there hungry, it's your own fault...

I didn't even think of the one at Ozark. I always think of the one at Sikeston. I used to live in that area. But Ozark would be a tad closer, I guess...depending on where you're coming from.
