Yup. Your driving lights should be wired directly to power w/ a relay (inline with the positive side) connected to the high beam wire (eitherside). The relay will only be activated when you hit the highbeams (therefore adding power to the relay.

Agree with the above. Easiest way is to tap into the load side of the high beam relay located in the relay block under the seat. Since it is a good idea to power via a relay, plenty of room under the seat to place a relay, and easy to power it and tap into the HB relay. Make sure you fuse the driving lights.

I purchased a plug and play replacement switch harness from electrical connections for my 08, and it worked perfect.

Under your seat is the fuse panel...find the hi-beam fuse and tap into the wire at the fuse, run that wire to the switch part of a NEW relay that you will install. A fused wire from battery to relay to lights and when you turn on hi-beam your new lights will too.
Sorry, can't afford the new ones (mine's an 02). Pull out your manual (you do have one of those right?) or read the top of the relay box where it should be printed on the lid.
Or give me yours for a week or two (or possibly more, don't know how long it will take) and I'll wire it up for you.![]()

Under the seat, remove the relay cover, second bank from the front(blue sockets), second relay from the right side. The blue/black wire goes hot with the high beams.

Are you sure that is legal to have high beans and driving lights on at the same time ? I know on vehicals you can't run both at same time...
He said driving lights, driving lights are basically supplemental high beams, I think the law is restrictive when it comes to fog lights.

Not that it matters to Rick, but in California he would be required to run the driving lights with High beams On as they are considered to be supplemental lighting for High Beams. There are no restrictions as to when or How Fog Lights can be used, (Headlights do need to be on). As long as no more than four lights are burning at one time. Low beam and High beam on at one time is considered to be ONE light. High Beams, Low Beams and Driving lights on at the same time are legal (4 lights legally). Turning the Fog lights on also would be considered illegal (6 Lights).
So Rick, when ya gonna hook up your Headlight Modulators?????
BTW, Thanks for the post. Reminded me I wanted to hook my PIAA Driving lights up that way also. I'm making a list of projects to do while I'm recovering from total Knee Replacement Sugery (Times Two) in a few weeks....
