Default Volt meter inside speaker grill installed

I got the idea from this board, I liked the one in the mirror the most but I went the easy way and put it in the speaker grill. It cost $12 on Ebay and is waterproof. Easy install.

Looks good. Were instructions with it and how long did it take to install.

I was wrong on the price, it was $12. I looked at so many that I forgot how much the one I got was. Above is the link. There are only 2 wires, red and black, I ran to the acc. post at the top of the fusebox. I used black silicone to hold in place but if I were to do it again I would just drill 2 little holes in the speaker grill and use 2 little black machine screws to hold it in.
I just wanted it to be where it would be seen alot without thinking about looking for it and I was not happy with any other place: seemed to block the dash or navi or look really out of place everywhere else.

    Default They're cheap!

I just had 2 delivered for $9 (yes, that's NINE dollars for two). I'm probably going to put it behind the mirror like was suggested a week or so ago.

Nice Mack, I bet we'll start to see a bunch of these.

Just curious, if (when) you have to remove the meter panel where do you un-hook the wires?

Be nice, the more you do it the easier it gets.

This works for me; same height as my main gauges. It's through the accessory circuit so the reading is the system voltage. My Battery Bug is hooked directly to the battery.
I have a picture in my profile on the 2nd page of the back side wiring to show how it unplugs when removing the Meter Cover.

Great idea. Anybody know of an LED clock that would fit behind the other speaker cover?

Nice installation, You have yours mounted behind the screen. I installed a Datek in the screen but I cut a rough hole with a Dremel then used a file to make a tight fit. The Datek has two screw terminals on the back for the wires.
