The new Wing model is on the Honda Powersports web site. Looks good in Black ! Reminds me of the Kawasaki Vaquero in profile. Could be a good

seller. Always thought a wing without a top trunk would look good , now Honda has done it for us. The pictures don't show any change in ergo's.

I look forward to a review by Rider magazine ( my favorite publication ).

I thought it looked good. It was interesting that there were no pictures of the dash. in looking at the specs, I could not help but notice that the centerstand and self canceling turn signals were only available on the deluxe version. They must have done a lot to remove the 60 pounds.

About a hundred pounds lighter and still only a 5 speed. Not much protection with the new windscreen if you do serious touring. Still, it looks nice and should do well with those wanting a cruiser. Let the rumors begin about the future of the GL.

Looks to me like that short shield is really for styling purposes. The HD Road Glide has that kind of windshield, as does the Kawasaki Vaquero. While I like the F6B, generally, I don't like the windshield. Might be great for those who like the wind in the face thing, but not me--I prefer keeping it off my face, along with all those bugs!!

I wonder if some of the weight reduction was done by eliminating the centerstand and reverse? I rather suspect that not putting a trunk on it accounts for about 25 pounds or more of weight. It ought to be a pretty good handler without the weight of the trunk up high.

They do have the taller windshield (even with a vent) available for the F6B model... see windshield in attached piture.

Not sure, but that seems to be an early prototype model. It has the old windshield, still has the cb controls on it, still has the hazard button near the radio controls. All of which are different in the final pics and video shown by Honda. Good news though, that a least the cosmetic stuff like the shield could probably be used from the older models. Not sure why someone would buy the bike though just to make it look like prior models. You can bet though that is exactly what some will do.

No, this is the European GoldWing F6B base version at EICMA with all available options from Honda fitted. In Europe only base version is available with ABS as standard and most of the options of the Deluxe version are available as seperate option. Also tall windshield is available seperately.

I bought a red Vaquero this past spring, it also had the short windshield, just replaced it before I rode the bike home. I think this thing looks great and would guess from a preformance stand point will smoke any of the current V-twin options. My Vaquero is simply no match for my Wing. Barry

Not sure it will smoke all of the current V-twin options out there. In this comparo, they were pretty darn even.

Guess I didn't make my statement very clear. I meant the F6B will probably smoke the current V-twin competitors in terms of preformance. My Vaquero is no match for the Wing. Barry

I'd have to say Honda has totally missed the mark with the FB6. Instead of taking the GL1800 to the next level, they make this BUTT UGLY bar bike.

I tried watching the video, but unfortunately, my French is a bit rusty, even though that was a major in college--which I never used.

I don't think the F6B is ugly, it's just different. We get used to how we think something should look, and when a modified version of it comes out, we protest. Give it some time. It'll no doubt grow on us. Personally, it doesn't look like one of the bar to bar types, but rather what they call in the cruiser world, a "light" tourer. Call it a Gold Wing Light. Still don't care for the shorty shield, and yes many will accessorize it, just like the rest of us have done to the regular Wings. And in the end, it's whatever turns your crank.

As far as esthetics go, I think the antenna looks a little dorky.
