Hey anyone considering a new Front Tire soon or trying out the Rear Bridgestone Battlax BT-45's to run on the front ....
Motorcycle-superstore.com is running a sale... Not sure how long it will last but it sure is a good deal.... I got 28,125 miles out of my last one. (little over 12 months of riding) http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Rear-Tire.aspx Had I seen this a week ago it would have been a no brainer to buy another one especially with the FREE ground shipping they offer. But... since I like to try out different things I got a Pirelli Sport Demon instead to go along with the Pirelli Eufori@ on the rear. Oh well... hope this helps out some... David w.

I need a front tire now. Are you saying you can run the rear on the front. What would be the advantage?

Thanks for the heads up DFW. Decided this morning it was time for a new front tire and saw your post this afternoon. Got one on order now.

This is a serious question. I like those prices but do I order the tire they call the rear or order the tire they call the front? I'll be mounting on the front. I have a new D-3 0n the rear.

The tire will even have "Rear Wheel Only" printed on it.. It is a bias tire. The advantage.. You start with twice the amount of tread on the tire so you should get at least twice the wear you would get on a front tire.. Handling, I can not tell any difference in handling, but maybe I am just to experianced to notice.. I have about 8000 miles on mine and it has never scared me or made me think something was wrong up front.. Mount it with the arrow going forward just as you would on the back of a bike, this gives best water shed !! Price is right, especially on this sale, maybe I will order a spare !! Enjoy your new tire !! jmho

Why? how about 28,000 plus miles? your mileage may vary? more rubber on the road.... thicker sidewalls.... and the thing sticks like glue. Other's should pipe in here soon.....

I currently have a set of ME880 on my wing. I put them on before reading about the "darkside". How long should they last (I know MMMV)?
I am considering ordering the BT45 but, I don't know how long it will be before I decide to get it mounted. Andy |

![]() I will stick with Dennis Kirk; they do ship to Alaska and their tire prices are cheap and in case they are not, they price match.

Don't delay! I ordered a run-flat a couple of days ago and had a flat on a 2000-or-so mile new Cobra Venom today.

They say rear on the tire but I see no real difference or reason for concern. I have been running the BT's on the wing and Valkyrie and average 25K with no problems except the overly soft and quiet ride makes me sleepy

I have used the Dyna Beads in my Battlax since I installed it a little over 24K miles ago with no problems. I think I might get another 4 or 5K miles out of it as I have just a shade under 4/32" tread left. You will need 2oz. for the front and 3oz. for the rear CT. Here is my Battlax with 24K.

I sent email to motorcycle superstore yesterday 2-6-10 on price of this tire. Total cost is $96. with no shipping charges. They say they don't plan on raising price in near future. Another 3k on my old m/c tire & I will become a Double Darksider. With the mileages being reported with the Bridgestone Battlax on front its a win win situation.

Oddly enough, I do seem to feel a moderate tread vibration at low speeds and a very slight at highway speed. Do you get that that at all with the BT 45?
