I recently purchased a Timeout XL1800 trailer and it comes with a 5-pin round wiring harness. I would like to travel with this trailer attached to my car and was wondering if there were harness adapters that would adapt this round trailer harness to work with my car's 4-wire flat trailer harness. Any help would be appreciated.

You will need a "4-wire flat to 5-wire round" converter. It's not just a plug and socket; you need to convert from "combined" stop and turn lights on the vehicle, to separate stop and turn lights on the trailer.
If you are not familiar with this wiring, a good U-Haul trailer rental shop will have everything you need.

Last fall I had the same problem. I went to my local trailer place and bought a 5 round to 4 flat cable. Worked great. No messing around, just hooked it up and everything ran great.

Thanks - I figured it might be as easy as that! I got the trailer at the end of September so I basically put it away for storage over the winter and am just now getting around to figuring things out with it.
