MapSource 6.15.11 was released today. Click here for the direct download.

This is a maintenance release that fixes a few minor bugs, supports the new map security procedures and introduces improvements for some of our Asian map products. Some other pressing issues like the memory issues under Windows 7 will be addressed in an upcoming feature release.

This is the list of changes from 6.15.7 to 6.15.11:
  1. Improved performance for custom draw elements.
  2. Made sure waypoints of type “Geotagged Photo” don’t crash MapSource.
  3. Allowed the import and export of unlock codes.
  4. Made sure unlocking changes get propagated without needing to restart the application.
  5. Phone numbers that were imported from gpx files were not written back out again. This is now fixed.
  6. Added support for enhanced map security.
  7. Fixed an issue with transferring City Navigator Europe NT 2010.30.
  8. Implemented Asian 6-level address search.
  9. Improved trimming performance for some Asian map products.

Updated both my copies. No problems with the download or install. Program still works anyway.

It's for the Mapsource program on your computer. All I did was bring up Mapsource and click on the help drop down menu and then click on "check for updates".

Mapsource is a trip route planning program that allows you to create routes that can then be downloaded to your garmin. Some people think it's easier to use than entering your route manually into the GPS and then giving it all the waypoints so it goes the route you want to follow instead of the route it computes according to it's processing logic.

As far as I know, there is no equivalent in the Honda Navi world.

Thanks George and OP, it seems to draw faster than dot7 did.

Still kind of bummed that Big Bend State Pare is not up to date yet. I'm headed out that way Friday to do some exploring. Looks like it shows all the roads but not all the boundaries.
